A Typical Work Week

‼️ We believe the best work happens together. This is a full-time, in-person role at our West Des Moines office. Remote work is not available.

As an Animator at TwoTone, you’ll bring stories to life through motion. You’ll collaborate closely with our creative team to develop engaging animations, motion graphics, and video content that help our clients communicate with their audiences. This role blends concepting, design, and execution, with opportunities to shape visual narratives from initial idea through final delivery.

You’ll create animations that are both strategic and visually compelling, managing details like timing, pacing, and visual consistency while working across multiple projects. At TwoTone, you won’t just execute animations, you’ll push ideas forward and help mission-driven organizations make a real impact through thoughtful motion design.

  4. Creating storyboards and animatics
  5. Concepting and designing visual narratives

Other Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with creative directors and other team members on animation and video projects
  • Take initiative on projects and provide innovative, creative solutions
  • Researching and selecting appropriate music and sound effects for animated videos
  • Coordinating or selecting voice-over talent when needed
  • Maintain visual consistency with brand guidelines across all animated content

Required Qualities and Skills

  • A degree/diploma in Animation, Design, Fine Arts, or a related field
  • Mac proficient
  • Comfortable working with conservative Christian churches and non-profits
  • Uses good judgment and works with integrity
  • Able to work independently and manage time efficiently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to quickly switch between multiple projects and priorities
  • Willingness and aptitude for learning new tools, styles, and software
  • Punctual, dependable, and detail-oriented
  • Prior professional experience with a strong portfolio of animation and motion design work
  • Expert-level knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop; Cinema 4D or similar a plus)
  • Strong visual, conceptual, and storytelling skills
