Returning to work after maternity leave is an emotional rollercoaster—joy, anxiety, excitement, and, of course, the inevitable mom guilt. As I sit here reflecting on my journey back to the office, I’m filled with immense gratitude for the amazing support system at TwoTone Creative.

When I first found out I was expecting, I was over-the-moon excited, but also worried about how I would juggle my responsibilities at work with the demands of a new baby. Seeing stories on social media about companies failing to support their working moms made me nervous. Would I be able to take the time I needed without feeling guilty or stressed about my job?

From the moment I shared my news, the TwoTone team wrapped me in a blanket of understanding and support. My maternity leave was so much more than just time off work — it was a period to bond with my son and embrace my new role as a mother, completely stress-free. The leadership team and the entire TwoTone team ensured I had everything I needed to feel secure during my time away, and that peace of mind was invaluable.

One of the best parts of my return was how my team handled everything while I was gone. They remained remarkable, resourceful, and relational in ALL that they did, and went above and beyond to ensure I didn't return to an overwhelming backlog of tasks. This thoughtful preparation allowed me to re-enter the workplace smoothly and focus on my job AND my family.

Work-life balance isn’t just a buzzword at TwoTone — it’s a core value. The empathy and flexibility extended to me are part of a broader culture of care and respect. It’s not just about accommodating a new mom, it’s about understanding that each team member's personal life directly impacts their professional life and vice versa.

Being a mom has added an amazing new dimension to my life and my work. I’ve learned to manage my time more efficiently, prioritize what truly matters, and approach challenges with a renewed sense of resilience.

To any moms or moms-to-be out there feeling the weight of balancing work and family, know this: It is possible to find a workplace that genuinely supports you. TwoTone has shown me that it is possible to have a successful career and be a dedicated mother — you don’t have to choose one over the other.

Thank you, TwoTone, for making my transition back to work a joyful one, for recognizing the importance of family, and for always standing by your team members. I’m thankful, grateful, and blessed to have two amazingly important titles — mom AND Marketing Strategy Director.
