A NOTE FROM OUR FOUNDER

TwoTone Creative is a small design agency located in the heart of West Des Moines, Iowa: Valley Junction. TwoTone started four years ago from my home. We grew little by little, and eventually, I was turning away so many clients while working around the clock to continue to serve and help my current clients. It forced me to make a decision: stay solo or train and grow a small team of designers to accommodate those clients. After much prayer, I decided to grow a team. We have, once again, reached full capacity, and we are looking for a fifth gifted designer.

We work with a variety of clients, helping them with their communication strategies, design, messaging, social, and marketing initiatives. Our small team atmosphere allows us to be nimble, take ownership of our work, and move quickly to serve our clients. We work from a bright, comfortable, friendly office, and believe deeply in work/life balance. We are looking for an experienced, creative, and fun individual to join me and my wonderful team of three – Kayla, Abby, and Vanessa.   • Full-time employee position
  • Working 40 hours/week
  • Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm

A Typical Work Week

  • Branding work (logos, stationery, branding guideline creation)
  • Designing posts for social media
  • Designing print publications (annual reports, marketing materials)
  • Talking directly with clients via email, Slack, phone, and in-person
  • Designing quickly and efficiently without loss of quality
  • Working and solving problems independently and knowing when to ask questions

Required Skills

  • Mac Proficient
  • Skilled in Illustrator and Photoshop with strong vector illustration capabilities
  • Comfortable working with Christian Churches and non-profits
  • Ability to write and design for churches and accurately represent their message
  • Uses good judgment and works with integrity
  • Works independently and quickly
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to quickly change from one project to another
  • Adeptness with learning new apps and software
  • Comfortable leading projects and other designers
  • Attention to detail (seriously – looking for type-A, proactive people)
  • A deep and thorough understanding of Instagram
  • The ability to meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment (we’re not kidding, this is a big one – say goodbye to being bored at work)
  • Good organizational skills that support the rest of the team
  • The motivation to maintain and improve design standards
  • The willingness to listen to feedback and use it to improve
  • Punctual and dependable

Extra Skills

  • Animation/GIF creation/video editing
  • Knows and loves grammar (Eagle eye!)
